Southwest Division members are investigating reports of 12 break-and-enter incidents that occurred in Rutherford and Riverbend neighbourhoods between May 14-17. Investigators believe two male suspects targeted unlocked vehicles and made off with cash, small electronics, sunglasses and garage door openers.
The openers were subsequently used to access the garages attached to multiple homes in the two neighbhourhoods, stealing property including bicycles, contents of vehicles parked in the garage and other items.
Investigators believe two male suspects seen in the area at that time are responsible for the break and enters.
A general description of the two suspects is as follows:
Suspect #1: Caucasian male, 15-21 years of age, 140-170 pounds, wearing a dark hoodie with a lighter hood.
Suspect #2: Caucasian male, 15-21 years of age, wearing a black hoodie.
Police are cautioning residents in the area to please be proactive and secure your property. Please remove all valuables and garage door openers from vehicles parked outside.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who has information about the break and enters or the two suspects involved.
