Assist to locate

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who walked away from Alberta Hospital staff while on an escorted outing yesterday afternoon.

Justin Caldwell Somers, 29, has a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest for being unlawfully at large.

Somers fled while at the Kinsmen Recreation Centre at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, after using the washrooms at the facility. Somers was residing at the Alberta Hospital as a result of charges stemming from a 2011 event at the Edmonton Remand Centre.

Somers was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans, a red bandana, sunglasses and a black ball-cap placed backwards on his head.

 

He has a shaved head and eyebrows, is 6 feet tall, with hazel eyes, a muscular build and weighs approximately 200 lbs.

Somers is considered to be dangerous and should not be approached.
