Investigators seek public’s assistance in identifying two males involved in vicious assault on May 5th

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two persons of interest in connection with a vicious assault that occurred recently in an alley in southeast Edmonton.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Southeast Division patrol members responded to an area near 78 Street and 14 Avenue to investigate an assault complaint.

It was reported to police that a male suspect approached a male complainant at a residential address in the area, alleging that he had collided with the complainant’s backyard fence. The complainant then followed the suspect towards the back alley, where he was allegedly assaulted by a second male suspect, while the first suspect videotaped the beating using a cell phone.

The complainant sustained extensive facial injuries from the random assault.

Investigators were able to obtain video surveillance of the second suspect, believed to be responsible for the assault, from a nearby convenience store (see suspect images below). The suspect, likely in his mid to late 20s, is seen wearing a white t-shirt with the slogan, 'I WIN, YOU LOSE".

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the assault and/or subsequent footage of the assault. Anyone with information is asked to call the EPS non-emergency complaint line at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at http://ift.tt/1az8Eve
