Police respond to suspicious death in Northwest Edmonton

The EPS Homicide Section is investigating the death of a 64-year-old male following an incident at a residence near 90 Street and 119 Avenue on Thursday evening, April 30, 2015.

Just after 9 p.m., EPS patrol officers from the Northwest Division station were contacted by EMS to attend the scene of an injured male. The male was initially transported to hospital and later pronounced dead.

Interviews are ongoing with occupants of the residence. The death is being treated as suspicious in nature. Homicide detectives will continue with this investigation and await an autopsy to determine cause of death. The autopsy is scheduled for 1 p.m. today.
