Police investigating early morning shooting in southwest Edmonton

Early this morning at approximately 7:10 a.m., Southwest Division officers responded to a weapons complaint at 184 Street and Callingwood Road.

It was reported that a 33-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound, and was treated and transported to hospital by EMS. He remains in stable condition. A male suspect was arrested in the area and charges are pending. A gun, believed to be connected to the incident, was recovered at the scene.

Police do not believe this was a random act and are not looking for any other suspects.
