Police seek assistance to ID man allegedly involved in sexual assault

The Edmonton Police Service is releasing a composite sketch to the public to help identify a suspect in an alleged sexual assault that occurred on March 30, 2016.

Police responded to a reported sexual assault around 11:20 p.m., on Wednesday, Mar. 20, 2016, in the area of 111 Avenue and 91 Street. It was reported that a female in her early 20s was approached by an intoxicated male, unknown to her, and then allegedly sexually assaulted.   

The woman fled on foot from the male suspect, who was last seen heading east on 111 Avenue.

The suspect is described as an aboriginal male of medium build, between 5’7”- 5’9” in height, with a mustache and goatee. He is believed to be in his mid-20s and was last seen wearing a black sweater and dark pants.
