Police seek public’s assistance locating missing girl

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 15-year-old girl.

Niqi Laleye, is described as a 15-year-old female who stands approximately 5’3” and weighs 120 lbs. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair. Investigators do not have a clothing description at this time.


Laleye was last heard from on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019 and was reported missing on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019 by her family.


Laleye has been known to frequent the Clareview area, including the Community Recreation Centre, Library and LRT Station.  She is also known to frequent the Edmonton City Centre Mall, the Strathcona Public Library and Westmount area. 

Given Laleye’s age and medical history, there are concerns for her well-being. There are, however, no indications of foul play at this time.
