Downtown Division seizes two pounds of methamphetamine, three arrested

Three people are facing charges after Edmonton Police Service officers seized nearly two pounds of methamphetamine from a business property yesterday afternoon.

A man and two women were arrested on Wednesday, Mar. 30, 2016 as Downtown Division officers executed a search warrant on a business in the area of 93 Street and 111 Avenue. Investigators located and seized a variety of drugs and paraphernalia, including:

  • 862 grams (1.9 lbs) of methamphetamine (approximate street value of $86,780)
  • 186 Diluadid (approximate street value of $5,580)
  • 74 Oxy-Codone (approximate street value of $2,220)
  • 52 Ritalin (approximate street value of $1,560)
  • $8,615 in Canadian currency
  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia including scales, packaging and mobile phones

The approximate total street value of the drug seizure is $96,140.

Three people were charged in relation to the search warrant:

Abdullah Shah (Alias: Carmen Pervez), 53: Possession of the purpose of trafficking (x5), possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of condition of a recognizance (x3)

Sarah Fassman, 36: Possession of the purpose of trafficking (x4) and possession of stolen property over $5,000

Jennifer Vuong, 57: Possession of the purpose of trafficking (x4) and possession of stolen property over $5,000
