EPS Traffic members conducted a vehicle stop on the suspect vehicle. A confrontation with the members occurred. An EPS member was shot and the suspect was fatally shot.
EMS treated and transported the EPS member and is currently in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The EPS will not be providing further comment as the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has taken the lead in this investigation.
