Police charge man in relation to 2019 lodging house death and issue arrest warrant for second accused

Police have charged a 44-year-old man, and have issued an arrest warrant for a 38-year-old man, in relation to the homicide of Michael Rose at a lodging house last year.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, EMS contacted police in relation to the sudden death of a 55-year-old man inside a suite at Dwayne’s Home (formerly located at 10209 100 Avenue). An autopsy took place on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019, however further medical examinations were required prior to determining the cause of death. Homicide investigators have since deemed the manner of death as homicide.

On Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, investigators charged Adam Brigden, 44, with second degree murder in relation to Rose’s homicide.

An arrest warrant for second degree murder has also been issued for 38-year-old Adam Hardy in connection to the death. Hardy is described as 6’0" tall, 154 lbs (thin build) with blonde hair and blue eyes.
