Major Collision officers seek dashcam and witnesses after hit-and-run

Officers from the EPS Major Collision Investigation Section are seeking witnesses and dashcam video to an incident that occurred yesterday evening.

Just after 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, police were notified of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian in a gas station’s parking lot in the area of 127 Street and 118 Avenue. Based on information obtained by investigators, officers believe a 22-year-old woman exited a stationary vehicle and approached the driver’s side, when she was carried and dragged a short distance. The woman was left near the entrance of the parking lot and the vehicle fled the scene.

The 22-year-old sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics.

Police are seeking any dashcam video from the area and are also looking to speak with any witnesses to the incident. Investigators do not have a vehicle description to provide at this time.
