Province-wide warrants have been issued for Jordan Martin Cushnie, 23, who is wanted for 2nd degree murder, robbery, mischief under $5,000 and possession of break and enter tools.
Cushnie is known to police.
Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Cushnie, who is described as 5’9” tall and 135 lbs with short brown hair and hazel eyes. A photo of Cushnie is included below.

Police believe Cushnie is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

Background
On Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at approximately 10:25 a.m. Southwest Division patrol officers responded to a 911 call for assistance at a shopping complex near 111 Street and Whitemud Drive.
It was reported to police that a male suspect was allegedly involved in a theft from a business located inside the complex, when a male employee of a nearby business intervened.
The suspect male is alleged to have violently assaulted the male employee, before fleeing the shopping complex on foot.
The 61-year-old male employee was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Friday, April 20, 2018 he succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide detectives have now taken over the investigation. An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
Every file is evaluated on a case by case basis. The EPS has decided not to release the name of the deceased in this investigation for the following reasons: it does not serve an investigative purpose and the EPS has a duty to protect the privacy rights of the victims and their families.
