Early Friday morning, April 20, 2018, Southeast Division officers responded to the report of a sexual assault at a business in the area of 50 Street and 101 Avenue.
It was reported to police that at approximately 4:30 a.m., a male suspect attended the business and locked the business doors after entering. He then allegedly grabbed the lone, 36-year-old female employee from behind and attempted to move her to an area at the back of the business. A struggle reportedly took place and the male allegedly sexually assaulted the female employee. The male suspect then reportedly fled the business on foot.
Investigators have identified the suspect allegedly involved in the incident as Adam Basque, 28 of Edmonton. Province-wide warrants have been issued for Basque, who is wanted for sexual assault and unlawful confinement.
Basque is described as 6’0” tall and weighs approximately 160 to 170 lbs. He has short dark hair, facial hair and a sleeve of tattoos on his left forearm. A photo is included below.

Basque is known to police. Detectives believe he is dangerous and should not be approached.
