On Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, a woman who was waiting for a DATS bus around 7 a.m. reported that a male suspect approached her in the area of 16 Avenue and 48 Street. He asked to borrow her cell phone to call his grandmother. When the woman reluctantly handed him the cell phone, the suspect ran away with it.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Indigenous male, in his 20s. He is about 5’10” tall and weighs about 190 lbs.
Police are releasing photos and video of the suspect and are asking the public to help identify him.
