Brendan Christopher Dion, 27, has been charged with second degree murder, use of a firearm while committing an offense and unauthorized possession of a firearm in relation to the death of James Joel Dunham, 40.
West Division patrol officers responded to a weapons complaint at a residential address near 101 Avenue and 153 Street, at approximately 5:20 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017. Officers found a male deceased when they arrived on scene.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner determined that Dunham died from multiple gun-shot wounds.
This was Edmonton’s 29th homicide of 2017.
