Police seek public’s assistance in identifying suspect vehicle in most recent homicide

The Edmonton Police Service is releasing a photo of the suspect vehicle believed to be involved in the homicide of 28-year-old Ian Janvier.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, police responded to a weapons complaint just after 6:45 a.m. in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street. Several residents had reported hearing gunshots.

Upon arrival, police located Janvier who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. EMS treated and transported him to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are releasing a photo of a light coloured, four-door Dodge Ram truck, believed to have been driven by the suspect(s).

“We’d like to speak with anyone who may have seen this truck in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street in the early morning hours of January 21,” says Staff Sgt. Colin Derksen with Homicide Section.
