Arrest made in weekend assault incident

The Edmonton Police Service has charged a male in relation to an incident that occurred on the weekend.

On Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, EPS received a complaint from a woman about an alleged assault that took place during an event at the Alberta Legislature Grounds.

Downtown Division detectives investigated and charged Jason Dion Bews, 34, with assault and utter threats.
