On Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, police responded to a two vehicle collision just after 3:10 p.m. in the area of 144 Avenue and Ebbers Boulevard. It was reported that a 2003 Toyota Corolla was travelling southbound on Ebbers Boulevard and attempting to turn eastbound onto 144 Avenue at a stop sign when it was allegedly struck by a 2016 Ford F150 that was travelling westbound.
EMS responded, treated and transported the 43-year-old male driver of the Toyota Corolla to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
The 47-year-old male driver of the Ford F-150 sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not believe that alcohol, drugs or excessive speed are factors in this collision.
EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
