On Aug. 5, 2016, officers responded to the area of 116 Street and Saskatchewan Drive after an assault allegedly occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m.
It is reported a woman was walking along Saskatchewan Drive when she was grabbed, choked to unconsciousness and dragged into the bushes north of the walking path. Bystanders approached to assist the woman and the man allegedly fled the area on foot.
The suspect has been described as a dark-skinned male, 23-35 years of age, approximately 5’7” to 5’11” tall with short, black hair, a thin, black beard and average to stocky build.

Detectives believe the suspect was wearing the red and black Chicago Bulls hat pictured below at the time of the assault.
