Police hope public can help deliver prolific mail thief

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a prolific mail thief.

It is alleged that William Geoffrey Schaffrick, 44, (see photos below) broke into mailboxes at a pair of condo complexes in southwest Edmonton several times between Sept. 9-14.

Investigators believe Schaffrick is also responsible for several other mailbox thefts dating back to 2015.

As a result, 28 warrants for break and enter, theft of mail, possession of break-and-enter tools and possession of stolen property under $5,000 have been issued for Schaffrick’s arrest.
