Police investigate suspicious death in city’s north end

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating a suspicious death, after a man died of his injuries in hospital early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight, on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016, Downtown Division patrol officers responded to the area of 107 Avenue and 110 Street, where a 46-year-old man was located with obvious trauma to his chest. The man was treated and transported to hospital by EMS, where he died a short time after.

Homicide investigators have taken over the investigation and are currently conducting interviews with witnesses. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow at 9 a.m..
