Homicide Section investigating death of male; seeking tips regarding man’s last known whereabouts and associations

The EPS Homicide Section is investigating the death of 36-year-old Matthew Jordan Gladue and seeking information on his last known whereabouts. Just before 7 p.m. last night, Monday, July 13, 2020, police responded to the report of an injured male in an alley between 103 and 104 Street, just north of 112 Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located Gladue with life-threatening injuries. EMS treated and transported Gladue to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Homicide detectives are leading the investigation.

While an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2020, investigators confirmed the identity of Gladue through fingerprints and have notified his family. Police are releasing his name in advance of autopsy to obtain more information on his last known whereabouts and associations.

“We are looking to speak with anyone who had contact with Mr. Gladue on the morning or afternoon of July 13, 2020,” says Acting Staff Sgt. Jared Buhler of the Homicide Section.

“Anyone with information relating to the circumstances which may have led to his death is also encouraged to contact us.”
