Police seek witnesses in 31st traffic fatality of the year

On Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at approximately 9 a.m., police responded to a collision in the area of 95 Avenue and 163 Street.

A pedestrian was travelling northbound on 163 Street to cross the street, when she was allegedly struck by a truck. The pedestrian, an 80-year-old female, was treated and transported to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015.

The driver of the truck was a 17-year-old female with a 63-year-old male passenger. Charges are not expected at this time.

The EPS Major Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate.
