Police search for Jeep Wrangler involved in hit and run collision

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help to locate a stolen silver Jeep Wrangler allegedly involved in a hit and run collision that occurred in northeast Edmonton this morning.

Officers responded to the area of Henry Avenue (near Hermitage Road) at approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015.

It is reported an adult male was making door-to-door deliveries in the area of Henry Avenue this morning. The man left his mid-size car running as he went to make a delivery and the vehicle was approached by a silver Jeep Wranger carrying four males.

A youth male allegedly exited the Jeep and entered the mid-size car. Police believe the youth was attempting to steal the vehicle.

The adult male returned to the vehicle and a short physical altercation occurred with the youth male. It is reported the Jeep Wrangler then attempted to flee the scene, striking the adult male, the youth male and the mid-size car in the process.

Both males sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated and transported to hospital.
