Pedestrian succumbs to injuries in connection to Oct. 6 collision

A 60-year-old female pedestrian has succumbed to injuries sustained on Oct. 6, 2019, after being struck by a Dodge Caravan while walking through a crosswalk in southeast Edmonton.

No charges have been laid against the 76-year-old male driver of the minivan at this time.

EPS Major Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate.

Background:

It was reported to police that a 60-year-old woman and 63-year-old man were travelling east to west in a marked crosswalk near 85 Street and 83 Avenue that Sunday afternoon, when they were both struck by a northbound Dodge Caravan 

Both pedestrians were treated and transported to hospital by paramedics
