Police seek public’s assistance locating missing man

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 74-year-old man.

At approximately 1 p.m. this afternoon, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, William Webb, 74, reportedly left his residence in the area of 161 Avenue and Dunluce Road to attend Richard’s Pub, a restaurant that he is known to frequent in the area of 121 Street and 161 Avenue. It was reported to police that Webb left the restaurant at approximately 2:50 p.m. this afternoon and was last seen walking westbound through a nearby field.

Webb is described as an Indigenous male with short, grey and black hair. He is approximately 5’3” tall with a thin build and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue jean jacket, brown shoes and a black ball cap.

Missing: William Webb, 74

Webb typically goes home after visiting the restaurant and, as such, it is considered out of the ordinary that he has not returned to his residence. He also requires regular medical assistance and therefore police are concerned for his well-being. There are no indications to suggest foul play.

Anyone with information regarding Webb’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Edmonton Police Service Complaint Line at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your tip online at www.p3tips.com/250.
