Police investigating voyeurism incidents in southwest Edmonton

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a series of voyeurism incidents that have occurred throughout the southwest Edmonton neighbourhood of McKernan.

Southwest Division CIS investigators believe the same individual is allegedly responsible for seven voyeurism incidents dating back to January 2017, with the most recent incident being reported to police on Aug. 9, 2017.

In each incident, a young female adult complainant has reported being startled by a male peering through their bedroom window and filming them on a cell phone, while they were undressing.

The suspect (see composite sketch below) is described as being 20 to 30 years of age, between 5’9” and 6’1” tall, around 170 pounds with dark shoulder-length hair. He was also wearing a toque and carrying a grey-coloured cell phone during each incident.

Police are encouraging residents in the area to be vigilant and maintain a watchful eye on their properties, especially after dark.

Anyone with information about this series is encouraged to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com/250.
