Police investigating shooting in SE Division

EPS Southeast Division officers are investigating a shooting which was reported to police just after 7 a.m. this morning (Oct. 6, 2016).

Staff at a coffee shop in the area of 75 Street and 101 Avenue called 911 when an injured male, believed to be in his mid-30s, entered the store to ask for help. The complainant reported to police that he was at a friend’s residence less than a block away, when three masked men came into the home and allegedly shot him. EMS responded, treated the man and rushed him to hospital. His injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening. .

EPS Tactical Section secured and cleared a home on the same block as the coffee shop. No one was found inside the residence. Police continue to investigate and search for the suspects.
