First degree murder suspect arrested in west Edmonton

A 22-year-old man wanted on Alberta-wide warrant for first degree murder in connection to the April 2016 death of Nikita Lee Healy was arrested Thursday afternoon by the Edmonton Police Service.

Nikita Lee Healy, 26, was found deceased in a residential suite in the area of 110 Avenue and 84 Street on Wednesday, Apr. 20, 2016. The Edmonton Medical Examiner determined she died from a gunshot wound – the city’s 19th homicide of 2016.

EPS Homicide Section connected Wacey Dillon Boudreau, 22, to Healy’s death. An Alberta-wide warrant was issued for his arrest for first degree murder, numerous firearm-related charges and breach of release conditions.

On Thursday, June 2, 2016 at approximately 12 p.m., officers from West Division were conducting proactive patrols in the area of 124 Street and 116 Avenue where they came across a man consuming alcohol in the bushes. He was identified as Wacey Boudreau, arrested on warrant without incident and found in possession of a firearm.

Wacey Boudreau is facing 36 charges in total, including first degree murder, multiple firearm-related offences (using a firearm in commission of offence, pointing a firearm and attempted robbery using a firearm), forcible confinement and 15 counts of breach of recognizance.
