Northeast Division members investigating afternoon shooting

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating an afternoon shooting that sent a 26-year-old male to hospital in critical condition. Northeast patrol members responded to a residential address near 83 Street and 171 Avenue at approximately 4:15 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, after receiving a weapons complaint.

Upon arrival, EPS members found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, EPS members found a male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics treated and transported the male to hospital in critical condition. The victim’s condition has since been upgraded to stable.  

Investigators are looking for two vehicles of interest that were seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting. A four-door blue or green Honda or Toyota vehicle and a two-door grey Dodge Charger with tinted windows.
