Man arrested in northwest sexual assault series; police believe there may be additional complainants

The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 43-year-old male in relation to six alleged sexual assaults. 

Between April and June 2020, police received six reports of a male targeting females in northwest Edmonton and St. Albert. In each case, it was reported that the male approached the female complainants and broke eggs on their heads, and in some cases, he would grope the complainant. In one occurrence, it was reported that the male was wearing what appeared to be rubber breasts over his clothing.

On August 10, 2020, Michael Todd Schartner, 43, was charged with sexual assault with a weapon (x6), unauthorised possession of a restricted firearm and unlawful possession of body armor.
