Two arrested in summer break and enter

The Edmonton Police Service has arrested two people in relation to a break and enter at a local esthetics and laser skin care shop that occurred over the summer.

It is alleged the pair were attempting to defraud an insurance company for more than one million dollars.

Sukhdave Seehra, 31, owner of the business, has been charged with fraud over $5,000 and public mischief.

Sherwin Mendoza, 35, has been charged with fraud over $5,000.

The pair will appear in court on Jan. 5, 2017.

Background

Police responded to Perfection Cosmetics, near 91 Street and 23 Avenue on May 30, 2016 after a witness observed broken glass near the front entrance as they arrived at work. A number of larger items such as a television and other electronics were reported stolen. A number of industry-specific items were also taken, such as a skin analysis machine and various lasers.
