Dana Fash, 38, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 and was charged with second degree murder.
Downtown Division officers responded to a sudden death on Monday, Feb, 7, 2011, at a residence in the area of 119 Avenue and 81 Street where they discovered Jeanette Marie Cardinal, 40, deceased.
“Homicide Section had identified a probable suspect at the time of the initial investigation, however there was insufficient evidence to lay charges,” says Staff Sgt. Bill Clark. “The EPS Historical Homicide Unit continued with the investigation and submitted additional forensic evidence to a specialized crime lab. Positive results led to Homicide Section arresting Fash for second degree murder.”
The cause of death will not be released as the investigation continues.
Fash’s next court appearance is Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017 at 9 a.m. He is currently remanded in custody.
