Just after 11 p.m. yesterday, Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, police were called to the area of 75 Street and Mount Lawn Road NW on the report of an assault. When officers arrived, they located a female youth with serious injuries. The youth was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics, where she was pronounced deceased.
Investigators are looking to speak with any witnesses to the assault or anyone with information about the incident or suspect(s) involved.
Police do not have anyone in custody at this time.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020.
