Homicide investigators charge St. Albert man with murder

The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 23-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Breianna Schamber last December.

Southwest patrol officers responded to a call for assistance from EMS at a residential address near 35 Avenue and 107 Street in the neighbourhood of Duggan, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019.

Upon arrival, police found 25-year-old Breianna Schamber deceased inside the residence. Autopsy results confirmed the cause of death to be strangulation and the manner of death to be homicide.

On Thursday, June 11, 2020, EPS Homicide Section detectives arrested and charged Hunter Alexander Duncan, 23, with second degree murder.
