Police investigate suspicious death at south-side motel

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of an individual, whose body was discovered in a south-side motel Sunday evening. 

Southeast Division patrol members responded to an assault call at a motel near 38 Avenue and Calgary Trail at approximately 8 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2020.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased person inside one of the motel suites.

Homicide Section has since taken over the investigation. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled. No further information, including the gender of the deceased, is available at this time.
