At approximately 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 a Plymouth Acclaim was travelling northbound on Manning Drive when it struck a westbound Chrysler Intrepid that was travelling westbound on 17 Street NE. The investigation revealed that the Chrysler allegedly failed to stop at a marked stop sign and was struck by the northbound Plymouth.
The 46-year-old male driver of the Plymouth sustained non-life threatening injuries.
EMS treated and transported the 25-year-old male driver and 19-year-old male front passenger of the Chrysler to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 20-year-old female rear passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Colten Parr, 25, is charged with several traffic and weapon offenses including impaired driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm (x2) and possession of a weapon.
The accused is expected to appear in court on Monday, April 23, 2018.
