Police charge two men in north Edmonton homicide

EPS Homicide Detectives have charged two men in connection with a homicide that occurred on June 1, 2017 at Hermitage Road and 40 Street.

Two groups of people became involved in an argument inside a pub in the area, with the disturbance continuing outside. Shortly thereafter, it was reported to police that several gunshots were heard in the area. Investigations revealed that Justin Nicholas Allen, 28, was shot after exiting the pub. Detectives believe that Allen was not involved in the argument or disturbance.

 

Jermaine Jahmal Soungie, 30 is charged with 1^st degree murder, use of a firearm, knowingly possess unauthorized firearm, careless use of firearm, failing to comply.

 

Winston Stanley Dickson Thom, 30 is charged with 1^st degree murder, use of a firearm, knowingly possess unauthorized firearm, careless use of firearm, failing to comply (x4), prohibited to possess firearm.
