Police request public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old missing man

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 28-year-old Edmonton man, who has been missing since Monday, April 17, 2017.

Russell Stempien, 28, was reported missing to the EPS just after midnight on Wednesday, April 19th, after his family became concerned when he did not return home over the last 24-hour period.

Stempien was last seen near his home in the southwest Edmonton neighbourhood of Windermere. His disappearance is considered to be out of character, and as a result, there are concerns for his well-being. There are no indications to suggest foul play, at this time.

Russell is described as being a Caucasian male, around 6’4” tall, 375 pounds with dark hair and beard. He may be wearing white New Balance running shoes, a grey and black checked coat with a fur-lined hood.

Anyone with information regarding Russell’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Edmonton Police Service Complaint Line at 780-423-4567 or the Edmonton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit your tip online at www.tipsubmit.com.
