Autopsy results released in connection with Easter Monday homicide

The Medical Examiner has confirmed that a 53-year-old woman died as a result of a stab wound Easter Monday.

On Tuesday, Homicide detectives charged Jason Glenn Dickout, 30, with second-degree murder in connection with the death.

Dickout was also charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

Homicide investigators have deemed the manner of death to be homicide, the 14th of 2017.

Every file is evaluated on a case by case basis. The EPS has decided not to release the name of the deceased in this investigation for the following reasons: it does not serve an investigative purpose, there is no risk to public safety and the EPS has a duty to protect the privacy rights of the victims and their families.

 
Background:
Northeast Division patrol officers responded to a call for assistance from a residential address near 130 Avenue and 32 Street, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2017.

Upon arrival, members found a deceased 53-year-old female inside the home.
