Stolen vehicle suspect apprehended

The male suspect who allegedly stole a vehicle with a passenger inside yesterday afternoon was apprehended shortly after 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 by RCMP in Stony Plain.

Police continue to investigate. Charges are pending against the suspect.

Background 

 

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at approximately 2:30 p.m. police responded to a call of a stolen vehicle in the area of 159 Street and 87 Avenue. It was reported that a 1977 maroon coloured Chevy Silverado was left running with a 46-year-old male passenger inside.

 

RCMP recovered the stolen vehicle in Stony Plain around 4:45 p.m. The male passenger was not in the recovered vehicle, but was located safe and unharmed approximately 10 blocks from Meadowlark Mall around 5:10 p.m.
