“This is a great opportunity for members of the public to come interact and workout with current and prospective officers,” says Const. Dallas Koenig with Recruiting Unit. “We will be available to discuss requirements and fitness expectations and to also highlight the perks and training opportunities that are offered once you join the EPS.”
Media are invited to attend the workout, starting at 5 p.m., which will be led by Const. Dallas Koenig.

When: Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 at 5 p.m.
Where: William Griesbach Training Centre (14310 109 Street)
Who: Const. Dallas Koenig, along with other sworn officers, will be available for comment
Recruiters will be available to discuss the following:
- Why you should consider a career with EPS
- The benefits and career opportunities within the EPS
- The requirements for becoming a police officer with the EPS
- Information about the selection process
- The training a new recruit undergoes prior to graduation
The EPS also regularly holds the Run with a Recruiter program, which provides interested applicants the opportunity to improve their fitness level for EPS entrance exams and recruit training. See video for more information.
The EPS is looking to hire a total of 140 new officers in 2016 and another 80 in 2017.
