Police seek public’s assistance identifying arson suspect

The Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male suspect allegedly responsible for deliberately setting fire to a vehicle.

On Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at approximately 4:20 a.m., a male allegedly committed an arson to a vehicle in the area of 29 Street and 44B Avenue. 

Police are releasing CCTV footage and two still images of the suspect in an attempt to identify him. Investigators anticipate the initial flames from the fire would have likely caused burns to the suspect’s hand and face, including his eyebrows and eyelashes. The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s to mid-30s.
