Police investigate single-vehicle rollover and seek witness driving white hatchback car

Yesterday, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., police responded to the Callingwood Road on-ramp on the report of a rollover. The vehicle involved, a dark grey Nissan Altima, had been occupied by a lone male who sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.

Police believe the Nissan Altima exited from the northbound lanes of Anthony Henday Drive onto the Callingwood Road on-ramp, allegedly passing several vehicles on the outside shoulder, before losing control and coming to rest in a ditch.

The EPS Major Collision Investigation Section (MCIS) have spoken to a number of witnesses to the collision, but are specifically looking to speak with the driver of a white-colored hatchback car, believed to have been driven by a Caucasian male in their early 20s. Investigators believe the driver of the hatchback would have witnessed the collision and could provide valuable information to police.

Investigators believe speed and impairment by drugs were factors in this rollover.
