Cyclist struck by 4-door sedan; police seeking witnesses and driver information

The EPS Major Collision Investigation Section (MCIS) is seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run collision, after a cyclist was struck in a crosswalk early this morning.

At approximately 4:20 a.m. today, Saturday, May 25, 2019, a 35-year-old female cyclist was travelling westbound on 82 Avenue when she was reportedly struck by a dark-colored, 4-door sedan turning northbound onto 75 Street from 82 Avenue.

Paramedics treated and transported the woman to hospital where she remains in serious, but stable condition.

Investigators are hoping to speak with any witnesses to the hit-and-run, as well as anyone who has information about the driver who fled the scene.

The MCIS continues to investigate.
