Police investigating pedestrian, LRT collision

Please be advised, that the male pedestrian has since succumbed to his injuries in hospital this evening.As previously noted, this incident has been deemed non-criminal in nature.All roadways in the area around 82 Street and 112 Avenue have since been re-opened to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the LRT Station at 82 Street and 112 Avenue, as a result of a collision between an LRT train and a pedestrian.

A male has since been treated and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Although the investigation is its preliminary stages, the incident appears to be non-criminal in nature. As such, no further details will be forthcoming, at this time.

Major Collision Investigation Section is now on scene, and has since closed 82 Street to oncoming vehicular and pedestrian traffic, between 112 and 114 Avenue, until further notice.
