At approximately 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, Southeast Division officers responded to a weapons complaint in the area of 36 Avenue and Millwoods Road.
It was reported to police that a female had been shot by an unknown male while walking in the area.
Upon arrival, officers located a female with non-life threatening injuries believed to be consistent with being shot by a pellet gun.
The female was treated on scene and transported to hospital by EMS. She has since been released.
Investigators have identified Daniel Atienza, 26, as the alleged suspect in the assault and have issued two warrants for his arrest, including assault with a weapon causing bodily harm and possession of an imitation weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public.
Atienza is described as 5’10” tall with a thin build. Photos of Atienza are included below.
