Police lay charge in sexual assault

The Edmonton Police Service has charged a 52-year-old male in relation to a sexual assault reported earlier this year.

On Apr. 10, 2017, police responded to a report of an alleged sexual assault that took place in southeast Edmonton in late March.  A female reported that she was sexually assaulted on Mar. 31, 2017. 

 

After exhausting all other investigative avenues, police sought assistance from the public last week to identify the suspect.

 

As a result of media and public assistance, Huu Minh Huynh, 52, has been charged with sexual assault.
