Police originally responded to Perfection Cosmetics, near 91 Street and 23 Avenue on May 30, 2016 after a witness observed broken glass near the front entrance as they arrived at work. A number of larger items such as a television and other electronics were reported stolen, prompting police to suspect that multiple people and a vehicle may have been used to facilitate the crime. Along with these items, a number of industry-specific items were also taken, such as a skin analysis machine and various lasers.
“The total value of the stolen items has been estimated to retail for more than one million dollars,” says Det. Stuart Davidson of the Criminal Investigations Section at Southeast Division. “These types of stolen items are often sold online. Shoppers are asked to be vigilant and ensure they are not purchasing stolen property.”
As police continue to work the case, they are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have attended the clinic in the days leading up to the break and enter.
Police encourage anyone with information regarding this break and enter, or these unique items, to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at http://ift.tt/1az8Eve.
