Homicide detectives investigating suspicious death on 95 Street

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of a male in Northwest Edmonton.

Police received a call at approximately 3:30 a.m. this morning, claiming a male was lying on 95 Street between 117 and 118 avenues.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased male, believed to be in his 20s, lying on the road.

Homicide detectives have since taken over the crime scene. An autopsy has yet to be scheduled.

Police have cordoned off the roadway between 115 and 118 avenues on 95 Street to allow detectives to conduct their investigation.

Morning commuters are advised to stay clear of the area and to find alternate routes of travel.
